Three stages, one workroom.
For new labels finding their feet and established brands ready for their next run. Bring us a sketch, a sample or a full tech pack, and we'll take it from first cut to final fold.
Good to know: Branding is available on garments we make for you. Minimum order quantities depend on the style and how many colours you choose. We'll confirm yours on the quote.

Cut
Your fabric is laid, marked and cut to pattern with as little waste as possible. Marker making and lay planning, cutting for every size in your run, bundling and ticketing per size and colour.
02
Make
Our machinists assemble each piece on lockstitch, overlock and coverstitch machines. Shirts, tees, sweaters, hoodies, duffel, cosmetic and tote bags, with zips, pockets, plackets, linings and handles, and quality checks on the line.

Trim
The finishing touches that make stock shelf-ready: thread trimming and pressing, buttons, snaps and eyelets, your labels and swing tags attached, folding, bagging and boxing.

Pattern making (in-house)
No pattern yet? We'll create one with you, grade it across sizes and refine it until the fit is right.

Sampling (in-house)
Before bulk, we make a sample for you to try on, tug at and approve. Changes happen here, not halfway through production.

Fabric sourcing
We'll happily help you find fabric. Our T-shirt, sweater and hoodie fabric is knitted locally in Cape Town.

DTF printing (in-house)
Full-colour direct-to-film prints applied in our workroom. Great for detailed artwork with lots of colour.

Embroidery (in-house)
Logos and details stitched in-house for a textured finish that lasts wash after wash.

Screen printing (right next door)
Our trusted screen printing neighbour is a few steps away, so your prints are handled without the road trip.

Natural fabrics, made well.
Every style is quoted on its own, because fabric, colours and trims all change the price. Want something not on the list? Ask. We like figuring things out.
Contrast Raglan Long-Sleeve T-Shirt
A classic everyday long-sleeve T-shirt, also available is short sleeve. Finished with a comfortable crew neckline and an easy, relaxed silhouette.

ABOUT
We make clothes. We also make machinists.
Swing Tag is a mother-and-daughter CMT factory in Victoria Yards, Lorentzville, run by Lene and her mom, Adele.
Training and upskilling are the heart of what we do. We teach on the job, grow people's skills one seam at a time and cheer loudly when someone masters a new machine. Do we want to make money? Obviously. But we're just as passionate about building a strong community here at Victoria Yards, and every order you send us helps.
We're also a little addicted to figuring things out. If we don't know how to make it yet, we'll work it out. We pattern it, sample it, unpick it and try again until it's right.
And quality? That's the one thing we won't budge on. Only our best work leaves the building.

On the first Sunday of every month, Victoria Yards opens up for its market and our door is open too. Pop in to see what we're about, meet Lene and Adele, and see the charity projects we sew on the day.
